Why are films significant? Why do films resonate with audiences? People frequently tell me about films that made an impact on them. Sometimes it’s the first film they ever saw. Sometimes it’s a film that reminds them of a transformational moment in their lives. Sometimes it’s a film that reflects something in their own lives which they’re unhappy with and they ask me how I would I would re-work it on screen.
